We all aspire to have toned and shimmery legs like Victoria Secret models, but those annoying body blemishes want to make us run for cover. Body makeup on the legs can hide a multitude of sins but striking the right balance between a healthy glow and overly strobed is very important.

Body makeup has always been a staple for the red carpet and here is a step by step know how fake the perfect body.

1. Prep​

Exfoliation removes dead skin, unclog pores which leads to a better complexion and smoother seeming skin. (Tip – Use a scrub that won’t leave an oily sheen)

Moisturize as soon as you get out of the shower as hydrated skin is the key to a healthy glow.

2. Prime

Primer is a base that helps the foundation go on smoothly and last longer. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and creates the illusion of an even tone.

3. Conceal

Cover-up imperfections, blemishes and acne using a couple of layers of concealer allowing them to dry in between.

Follow this up with foundation but be mindful that your body colour might not match your face. Use a flat brush for even and easy application.

4. Glow

Use an applicator mitt to apply a self-tanner generously fighting dullness.Avoid streakiness and blend properly.

5. Get Set

Finish with a generous amount of setting powder and wait for a couple of minutes before brushing off the excess. This will help the makeup last for hours.

Leave time to dry as you want to avoid smudges on the party dress and don’t want to ruin all the hard work you put in.
