With the World Environment Day approaching, I have sworn to make a lifestyle change for our environment and for the good of our planet. I am going to switch over from one time use plastic to to Tupperware.
Tupperware is a household name not only in India but Globally, and there has to be a very strong reason and large numbers of satisfied users for this kind of reach and continuous patronage. Tupperware has become one of the leading choices of consumers when it comes to buying containers for storing food in the kitchen or for carrying to work and school.
“According to The Green Guide, a website and magazine devoted to greener living and owned by the National Geographic Society, the safest plastics for repeated use in storing food are made from high- density polyethylene (HDPE, or plastic #2), low-density polyethylene (LDPE, or plastic #4) and polypropylene (PP, or plastic #5). Most Tupperware products are made of LDPE or PP, and as such are considered safe for repeated use storing food items and cycling through the dishwasher.” A few other benefits of the product that make it a my favourite are that it keeps food & water fresh for long, its microwave compatible & the ease of carrying & cleaning. Let’s not forget also comes with quirky colour options!
So I would like to make a request to all you guys to start carrying Tupperware bottles instead of purchasing a new water bottle each time you’re out in the heat, similarly with Tupperware lunch boxes instead of plastic zip locks.
